Paragraph 1: introduces the topic and gives their point of view

Paragraph 2: develops one side of the argument giving examples of meaningless aactivities.

Paragraph 3: develops another side of the argument, giving examples of meaningful activities

Paragraph 4: gives a conclusion or summary and repeats the writer’s point of view.

Activity D: ‘It seems to me that…, I agree that…., I feel that…’, they all occur in the first and last paragraphs.

The text is quite well developed. The only problem can be found in the introduction which is too short, it does not exactly introduce the issue which is being discussed. The rest of the text is quite balanced adn shows a different way of organizing information, as compared to the sample text you have in your book

Sample letter

Complaint 1 and justification: inexcusable delay – they booked the table in advance so that it’ll be available at 8.30

Complaint 2 and justification: wrong starters, although they repeated the order and made sure they had been heard correctly.

Complaint 3 and justification: Bad table, because it was located near the bathroom and the smell was horrible. It was a nightmare dinner.

Complaint 4 and justification: no air conditioning, there was only a fan and it was disturbingly cold.
